PRIMARY PROGRAMME
We have a range of specialised workshops tailored for younger students using drama, allowing them express themselves. Our Primary Programme uses drama as a way of approaching work. We address issues they may encounter in their day to day lives. We would be happy to tailor any of our workshops to the specific needs of your students and meet your requirements.
Drama Workshop
Learn the basics of drama and the craft of acting; ice breakers, role plays, improvisation and drama activities allowing the group get to know one another. Drama is used as a way of encouraging and enhancing creative expression. Participants will be inspired, boosting confidence and creativity, along with enhancing communication, speech and articulation.
Social Issues Workshop
A set of drama workshops that tackle social issues focusing on racism, bullying and addictions. Each workshop explores the topic from the students’ perspectives, challenging and creating awareness and empathy.
Make a Movie
Lights, Camera, Action! Join the experts as they help you write, act, light and even do the sound in your very own movie. We then send the footage to be professionally edited and you will receive a copy of your movie as a DVD. The movie can be used to inspire other classes in the showing of it. Participants of the course can expect to gain confidence and learn about self-expression, while expanding their own creativity and communication skills.
Radio Play
Our inspired storyteller will bring tales to life through creative writing, music and song. The play will be recorded and edited, with each participant receiving a CD of the end result. Participants will increase their confidence, imagination and language skills through developing their own inspired stories, choosing one to develop and dramatize.
We can also look at a History Drama for the upcoming 1916 Centennial, tapping into a variety of different aspects. We would provide the costumes and work with your group to develop characters based on the events of the Rising.
We can tailor any of the above to cover any topic or issue. Whether it’s well-being or a confidence builder, all workshops are bespoke for each group.
