Auditions fo Shakespeare’s 'The Tempest'

As part of the 400 anniversary celebrations for Puck Fair, Killorglin, Co,Kerry this August, performances of Shakespeare’s The Tempest will be given on the shore at Ballykissane Pier. St. John’s Mill Theatre Company specialises in physical theatre given in unusual locations.

We are currently casting for actors with strong physical skills and experience of Shakespearian roles. Principally, the roles of Miranda – playing age late teens, Ferdinand – playing age early twenties, Caliban – excellent physical skills, playing age mid-twenties, Sebastian, Antonio, Trinculo, Stephano, Boatswain – roles may be played by male or female actors. Some doubling of roles will be required.

Auditions will take place in Dublin and Cork. Rehearsals begin July 15th, performances from first week of August until 14th.

This will be a paid performance with rehearsals, travel expenses and accommodation costs also covered.
