Participants required for TV show
Kite Entertainment are looking for students or (young professionals) who are open to house sharing with a senior citizen for two weeks.
The premise of the show is that our homeowner opens up their spare room and allows a young guest (over 21 years old) live with them for two weeks. At the end of the two weeks if both parties are happy with the living arrangement and decide they’d like to live together on a permanent basis (for an affordable rental amount), we will have a professional who helps them organise a long term living rental arrangement.
During the week they will bond a friendship and spend some time together, like going to a dance class, having a bake off, social media training in a fun way etc and we film the two generations in their shared heartwarming and unique environment over two weeks and we get to see how an unlikely friendship can bond.
Loneliness amongst the eldery people who live by themselves is a problem ( no matter how active they may be) and exorbitant rental prices in Ireland is a huge problem especially for younger Irish generations on low incomes. What the show hopes to achieve is by pairing these two intergenerational groups, they both find a happy and affordable living environment.
A contributor fee is offered to anyone who appears on the show.
