Imagination And Creativity

‘THINKING OUTSIDE THE BOX’

Our Imagination and Creativity ‘Thinking Outside the Box’ Masterclass will empower participants to see things in a new and unique way. It will give them tools to explore more creative and imaginative solutions to a wide range of business issues. This master-class will aid participants in thinking of innovative ways to problem solve in their day to day roles. They will learn how to develop the critical performance skills of being spontaneous, creative and authentic. This workshop will leave participants with much food for thought and valuable lessons to take back to your team. It will enable them to create work and present it to their colleagues in a fun and dynamic way. This master-class is ideally suited for those looking to enhance creativity, develop new skills and learn personal sales techniques. This workshop is designed to help participants to see outside the square in their approaches to making plans and solving problems.

Within actor-training, the actor is first required to isolate and specify what exactly the ‘core problem’ is in their scene, exactly what the character’s predicament and circumstances are, and exactly what the character wants in terms of their objective. As art is a reflection of life and life a reflection of art, the same can be said of all of our day-to-day dilemmas. If we can fist come to a total understanding as to what the problem is and how we can deal with it, we are in the right place to start being creative.

What exactly is the problem? Perhaps it is not as overwhelming as we first thought.

What exactly is my objective here? What is my ideal outcome? And how can I best go about achieving it and bringing everyone else along with me?

Finally, just because these problems have been dealt with in a certain way in the past, does that mean I have to deal with them in the same way? Can I look in other directions? Can I think outside the box?

Charles Bukowski tells a story of a man and a boy in a train looking at the sea. The boy looks at it for some time and finally says. ‘It isn’t beautiful’. There is a common accepted perception that the sea is beautiful. Often we are expected to follow a common belief or a common approach to solving problems and making plans. Often that means we forget to look for new and better ways. We can miss an obvious truth that is actually right in front of us.

We forget to be creative and use our imaginations. When we do, we forget to evolve. This will be a dynamic and  energized day of thinking and moving.

Participants can expect to:

  • improve ability to visualise
  • be innovative
  • lead change and innovation
  • learn to be assertive in the workplace
