Irish Times Theatre Nominations for GSA grads

Nominations for The Irish Times Theatre Awards were announced Saturday the 16th of January and it was with great pride that we noted the names of many Gaiety School graduates across the board.
In the category of Best Actress, Aisling O’Sullivan, class of 1991, is nominated for her role as Hal/King Henry V in the Druid Theatre and Lincoln Center Festival coproduction of DruidShakespeare. Rory Nolan, class of 2003, is also nominated for Best Supporting Actor for his role in DruidShakespeare, with the production also being nominated for Best Production.
Nominated in the category Best Actor, is graduate of the class of 1992 Mark O’Halloran for his role as Donal Davoren in the Abbey Theatre and Lyric Theatre production of The Shadow of a Gunman.
Meanwhile, Dawn Bradfield (class of 1992) is nominated for Best Supporting Actress for her role as Mona in the Gate Theatre production of The Gigli Concert, by Tom Murphy. The play is also nominated for best production.
The Night Alive By Conor McPherson, starring GSA graduate Ian Lloyd Anderson is also nominated for Best New Play.
