p>The Gaiety School of Acting – The National Theatre School of Ireland officially launched a brand new website on Tuesday, 5th March 2013, with the assistance of IFTA Awarding Winning Actress, Charlie Murphy and Entertainment & Events Blogger, Darragh Doyle at the school’s main head quarters in the Old Quarter of Temple Bar.
The site has been designed and developed by Lucidity Digital with the assistance of print designers, Mr & Mrs Stevens. The aim of the new-look website is to be more interactive and user friendly for both students and alumni.
The new site makes it easier for users to find out course information and book courses online, as well as keep up to date with news and events at the school. The social media feeds through to the homepage to ensure easy access to all the latest news stories.
Under the courses section of the website, all courses will be uniquely described and illustrated. The website will also feature a new easy online booking system that coincides with course descriptions to guide you easily through the application or booking process.
A new Outreach section will be dedicated to the extensive off-site training and development workshops, which the Gaiety School of Acting offer all over the country for schools, communities and our corporate clients.
The website will also have specialised Agency and Alumni sections with headshots of our past and existing pupils. Former Full time students will be able to log on and update their CV information in the future. This aspect will be rolled out shortly.
Charlie Murphy is a graduate of the school and recently won an IFTA for ‘Best Actress’ for her role as Siobhan in the TV series, LOVE/HATE. In 2012, she won ‘Best Actress’ at the Irish Times Theatre Awards. She features as this month’s ‘Alumnus of the Month’ in the news feature on the new site. The website hopes to benefit graduates like Charlie by giving them the ability to log on and update their CV information in the future. This aspect will be rolled out shortly.
Charlie Murphy, Actress, comments ‘I am proud to be a graduate of the Gaiety School and this new website is an exciting new development and I am delighted to be part of the launch’.
Patrick Sutton Director of The Gaiety School of Acting notes ‘A great spring day to welcome Charlie Murphy, Darragh Doyle and our brand new website! 27 years of confidence and creativity. Now! Come find yourself with our new website at www.gaietyschool.com
Lucidity Digital Director, Guy Fagan, states ‘We are proud to have designed and developed the Gaiety School’s new website. We believe the new site reflects the spirit and flair of the Gaiety School, and helps to communicate their key message – making creativity accessible to everyone. In working closely with the Gaiety School over a number of weeks to develop this site, we have come to appreciate both their individual and collective creative talents. It’s our hope that with this new site, these qualities are fully exhibited alongside the exciting opportunities that Gaiety School of Acting provides’.
