Maynooth – Student short film

Hyacinths is a student short film being produced from Maynooth University.

This film is a modern retelling of a Greek tragedy, focusing around the story of
Apollo and Hyacinthus.

Apollo and Zephyr are rivals on their college track team. Zephyr’s side of the
rivalry turns bitter as coming up to a big race Apollo begins to fall for
Hyacinthus. Hyacinthus finds himself struggling with his sexuality.

Roles Required:
– Apollo, a young adult male of a strong athletic build, clean shaven.
– Zephyr, a young adult male of a strong athletic build with a more gruff
appearance.
– Zephyr’s Father, adult older looking male.

Filming is ideally set to begin within the first or second week if April across 2-3
shoot days, the dates of which are yet to be determined.

The work will be unpaid however we will be doing our best to provide food and
drinks.
