Poetry Performance Challenge
The Gaiety School of Acting challenges Junior Cert and Leaving Cert students to engage with their exam poetry through performance. We are inviting students to submit short videos of them presenting one chosen poem in any format they wish – using music, visual art and employing whatever theatrical methods they want.
The entries will open on April 14th and the winner will be announced and premiered on Poetry Day Ireland, April 30th 2020. All entries will be showcased in a video compilation.
Students can choose any poem they wish from Ordinary or Higher Level, Junior Cert or Leaving Cert.
Prizes
Individual Entry: The winner gets a course at the Gaiety School of Acting to the value of €200, with a GSA goodie bag for the runner up
Schools Entry: The winning class will get a group drama workshop for their class
