I am looking for 2 lead actors and 4 supporting actors for an upcoming short film.  Anyone interested in being an extra would also be much appreciated. If you are  interested in these roles, I can send the script to you upon request. 

The lead roles I’m looking for include: 

Aisling: an 18-year-old girl in her final year of secondary school who becomes  paranoid when she’s home alone. Actor must be female, aged between 18-20 years of age, around 5’6 with slim build. 

Shadowy figure: a nameless figment of Aisling’s imagination that torments her.  The character’s face will be covered as it’s meant to be non-human. Actor must be  male, aged between 18-20 years of age, around 6’0 with slim build. 

The supporting roles I’m looking for include: 

Margaret, Lili, Jessica & Lydia: Aisling’s friends that walk halfway home with her.  Actors must be female, aged between 18-20 years of age, with heights ranging  from 5’5 to 5’11. 

Synopsis: 

‘On Edge’ is a 3-minute, no dialogue short film about paranoia and the feelings  surrounding it. 

We follow a young girl in the year 2023. She’s making her way home after school,  but she can’t shake the feeling that she’s being followed. When she glances over  her shoulder, we catch a glimpse of a shadowy figure, before she turns to get a  better look, revealing that no one’s there. 

We later see the girl in her home, by herself. She makes herself some food before  sitting down on the couch, listening to a video through her headphones. A distant  thump is heard from what seems like upstairs. The girl removes her headphones  frantically, then sitting still, listens out for another sound. 

We see her making her way upstairs, tiptoeing to keep quiet. She peers around  anxiously, searching for any intruders. Is there somebody there or was it all just in  her head? 

This project is unpaid as it’s a student production, but food will be paid for. It will  be filmed in Lucan, Dublin on the 28th and 29th of February 2024. This is a great  opportunity for young actors seeking more experience in film.
