The Gaiety School of Acting is now seeking a dynamic, enthusiastic and forward thinking individual for the position of Outreach & International Marketing Manager.

The Gaiety School of Acting – The National Theatre School of Ireland is a Not for Profit organisation founded in 1986 by the internationally renowned theatre director Joe Dowling. The school is now widely regarded as the country’s premier training facility for actors both nationally and internationally. The school is based in the centre of Dublin city’s cultural quarter, Temple Bar.

The role is responsible for promoting the organisation’s international, corporate and outreach programmes while also launching new initiatives designed to raise its profile, generate income and foster new relationships. The Outreach and International Manager will work closely with the Marketing Manager, Full Time and Study Abroad Coordinator, and Educate and Outreach Coordinator. The Outreach & International Marketing Manager will report to the General Manager.

Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • To develop and implement an effective marketing & branding strategy for the Gaiety School of Acting’s Study Abroad activity with specific focus on the North American market
  • To creatively promote all of the School’s outreach programmes and corporate activities at a Local, National and International level
  • To continually explore and identify potential new markets and audiences for outreach, corporate and international study abroad activity
  • To manage and update all online and digital activity for corporate, outreach and international study abroad activity
  • To work with the designer to oversee the preparation, design and production of all printed publicity material (flyers, posters, brochures etc.) for any international, corporate or outreach activities
  • To develop and oversee sales plans, ensuring targets are met for a variety of outreach programmes
  • To develop and improve existing international programmes and foster new relationships with universities based in USA, Europe and worldwide
  • To evaluate the success of the annual USA tour undertaken by the Director and to create a structured itinerary for future tours
  • Any other duties relating to courses as assigned to you by the General Manager or Director.

Requirements 

  • Proven track record in marketing and digital media
  • Experience in social media
  • Excellent writing, verbal and communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Proven interest and experience in relationship management
  • Budgetary management experience
  • Proficiency in the use of Adobe products, Web Management software and all Microsoft Office programs
  • The ability to work creatively and flexibly within a small focused team
  • Knowledge of the primary or post primary education system would be desirable
  • Have an abiding interest in theatre, education and all the performing arts

Salary
€29,000 per annum

Holidays
20 days per annum (Jan – Dec)

Contract & Working Hours
Full time working week totalling 40 hours to be delivered from Monday to Friday between the office hours of 10am – 6pm with occasional evening and weekend work required. Time off in lieu as per company policy.
