CASTING CALL — Where Is My Husband?We are casting actors for a short comedy-drama film.
Shooting will take place in Dublin in late April 2026. All roles are paid.
Synopsis
Anna is in her mid-twenties. Her flat is a mess, her card is blocked, and she has just made an important decision: she needs a husband. Immediately. What follows is a series of dates that go sideways in increasingly creative ways — and a slow, reluctant realisation that maybe the problem isn’t the guys.
Roles:
ANNA (Lead – Female, mid-20s)
The heart of the film. Funny, warm, and quietly falling apart. She throws herself into the husband search with full commitment while everything else in her life gently collapses around her. Requires strong comedic timing and the ability to remain genuinely likeable even at her most chaotic.
LIAM (Lead – Male, mid-to-late 20s)
Anna’s friend. Permanently on his phone, perpetually losing money on crypto, and somehow the most clear-eyed person in the room. Dry and deadpan on the surface, but carries more than he lets on. The role requires restraint — he is funny precisely because he underplays everything.
MARIE (Supporting – Female, mid-20s)
Romantic, confident, and completely at ease with herself. Happily planning her future with David and not shy about it. Warm energy and quick reactions. She is the one most likely to slap Liam across the face without hesitation.
SOPHIE (Supporting – Female, mid-20s)
Engaged, kind, and gently protective of Anna. The more cautious of the two friends — she wants things to work out for Anna but is not sure her approach will get her there.
Smaller roles (Male & Female, 20s–30s)
Three brief dates, each with their own distinct way of disappointing Anna. Plus a couple at a pedestrian crossing whose quiet argument in public says more in thirty seconds than most scenes say in five minutes.
Compensation:
Lead roles (Anna, Liam): €100 flat fee
Supporting roles (Marie, Sophie): €60 flat fee
Smaller roles: €30 flat fee
All fees will be paid promptly upon completion of filming.
