Gaiety School Graduates nominated for IFTA Awards

Friday, October 2nd, 2015 at 3:19 pm | News & Events

It as with baited breath we awaited the Irish Film and TV Award nominations this morning.  With our graduates cleaning up in the Film category earlier this year, we were curious to see if we’d recognise many names popping up in the Television round!  Not ones to disappoint, once again our graduates have come through with Deirdre O’Kane (class of 1986) and Jane McGrath (class of 2009) battling it out in the Best Female performance Category.  With Deirdre nominated for Moone Boy and Jane for Red Rock, we’ve no doubt it will be a close call – we’ll be rooting for them both! We’ve no doubt the announcements this morning have made a ripple through the rest of our alumni body, with so many of our past students starring in TV shows that appear across the many categories.

The awards will be held on the 22nd of October.  Here’s the full list of nominations!
