Males over 18 – Volunteers Irish Opera

Irish National Opera is looking for male volunteers (aged over 18) to form part of a crowd scene in an upcoming production of Richard Strauss’ Salome at the Bord Gáis Energy Theatre, Dublin 2.
No acting or music experience is required, but participants will need to be available for all rehearsals and performances as outlined below.
The role doesn’t involve singing or speaking but will be given direction by the Creative Team during rehearsals. This is a thrilling and fun opportunity for someone with an interest in theatre or opera to experience performing with an internationally recognised cast, director, designers, crew and orchestra.
Tues 27 Feb 6:30 – 9:30pm (Artane School of Music)
Thurs 7 Mar – Stage & Piano 3, 3-5pm, BGET
Thurs 7 Mar – Stage & Piano 4, 6:30-9:30pm, BGET
Fri 8 Mar – Stage & Orchestra 2, 6:30-9:30pm, BGET
Sun 10 Mar – Dress rehearsal, 2-6pm, BGET
Tues 12, Thurs 14 & Sat 16 Mar – Performances, 7:30pm, BGET
The men will form part of a crowd scene at the end of the opera which will create a visual spectacle for the audience. Simple grey tracksuits and trainers will be provided as costume.
