Casting Call Camp at the Gaiety School of Acting

This is a five day course for teens to learn all about the acting industry and how to get work as a young professional actor. Working with experienced tutors, students will be given training in sight reading, audition technique and acting for camera. In addition to GSA tutors, you will work with casting directors from Louise Kiely Casting (Casting Directors on acclaimed RTE drama Normal People, Kin and much more).  The course will include a number of practical exercises, with students receiving any filmed footage on completion. Due to the collaborative nature of the course, this is also a great opportunity to make new friends.

The camp will take place over Summer 2022.

• Who is who in the acting industry – understanding the business
• How to self-tape
• Audition technique
• Monologue selection and coaching
• Working with casting directors and directors
• Putting your best foot forward
