Congratulations to Catherine Walker, Class of 1996, Best Supporting Actress – Irish Times Theatre Awards

The Gaiety School of Acting is delighted on the success of graduate, Catherine Walker, Class of 1996, on her success at this year’s Irish Times Theatre Awards. Catherine was awarded ‘Best Supporting Actress’ for her part as Stella in ‘A Streetcar Named Desire’, written by Tennessee Williams, directed by Ethan McSweeny at the Gate Theatre.

Congratulations also to Mark O’Halloran, Class of 1992, for winning both Best Production and Best Sound for his production ‘Lippy’.

We are also delighted with the nomination of other graduates including, Aisling O’Sullivan, class of 1991, for her part as Anne in ‘The Colleen Bawn’ by Dion Boucicault, directed by Garry Hynes for Druid Theatre.

These awards celebrate the very best in Irish talent and speak volumes as to the success rate of the school’s acting programme. All Actors have attended the Two–Year Full time Intensive Actor Training Programme in the past. The high quality of training is what makes the Gaiety School of Acting market leaders in this field.
