Stuart Townsend stars in Hollywood Movie ‘A Stranger in Paradise’

Betrayal star and GSA Alumni, Stuart Townsend, stars in ‘A Stranger in Paradise’ directed by Corrado Boccia, soon to be released in Ireland & the UK.

Filmed in Thailand, the film tells the story of Josh Pratt. On the verge of making partner, Josh’s life is turned upside down when the SEC investigates the head of his multibillion-dollar hedge fund for insider trading. Forced into a well-timed “vacation” he never asked for Josh finds himself in Bangkok with a price on his head, a morally ambiguous brother who is knee deep into the Thai mafia, and a propensity for getting shot at. Townsend was born in Howth, Dublin, the son of Lorna Hogan, an Irish model, and Peter Townsend, an English professional golfer. He graduated from the Gaiety School of Acting in 1993 where he made his non-professional stage debut in the school’s production of Colin Teevan‘s Tear Up The Black Sail. While studying in the school he supported himself by boxing until his first feature film debut in Trojan Eddie (1996).
