Temple Bar Night Market Live Street Art to be Auctioned to raise money for Charity

A SPECIAL ART  AUCTION WILL TAKE PLACE OF PIECES BEING CREATED AT TEMPLE BAR NIGHT MARKET IN AID OF IRISH CHARITY ‘TIGLIN’

Pieces will be exhibited 28-30 July in The White Lady Art Gallery, Wellington Quay, where final bids can be placed.
 
About Tiglin
Tiglin first opened its doors in 2008, operating as a men-only centre. A large proportion of Tiglin’s residents have been homeless due to addiction problems (mainly alcohol and drugs). Tiglin is based near Ashford, Co. Wicklow. The programme at Tiglin accommodates those who have drug or alcohol problems.  Tiglin currently have 24 males in their men’s centre and 12 females in the new women’s centre. There is a waiting list of 28 for Tiglin Rehab Centre and it is a 12-16 month programme.  Tiglin’s residents complete practical modules in horticulture, cookery, crafts and money management skills. They also take turns managing different parts of the house.
What’s different about Tiglin?
Tiglin have a holistic approach. It’s not just about getting over the addiction, but general wellbeing, getting a balanced diet back on track and taking part in keep fit classes are all part of the programme. Tiglin also help clients with regard to their social welfare and work with their clients on any court cases they’re involved in. It is a faith based Christian programme which helps Tiglin’s clients to deal with anger, rejection etc.
