Counting Puffins
by Mike Finn
Innis Puffin, a craggy rock nine miles off the Kerry coast is poised for the annual invasion of puffins. Instead, it gets a visit from not one, but two groups of somewhat bewildered humans.
There’s no wifi, only half enough beds and a mysterious man with binoculars. The boatman who brought them here smells of fish, has a lousy sense of direction and something moving under his coat.
Then there’s the fog. When there’s no way out, no way home, and no way you should’ve come here in the first place … can you count on yourself? Can you count on your friends? Can you count puffins when you can’t see your hand in front of your face?
The Gaiety School of Acting is delighted to announce the launch of our 2025 production of Macbeth.
