Description
What is a Shakesperience?
Shakesperience has been designed for Junior Cycle Students. Its a fun, interactive & educational performance of Merchant of Venice. It is designed to help students understand the text and how to gain a deeper understanding of staging and directorial choices.
How does it work?
It is a 90 minute production that intertwines both aspects of a performance and a workshop. It focuses on key scenes from Merchant of Venice and our actors explain production elements throughout the staging of the scenes. Set, costumes and lighting choices are explored throughout offering the students a chance to discuss options and interact with the Actors in a fun, educational Shakespeare-experience.
