Advanced Acting classes for Young People
The Performance Workshop is the next step up from Drama Workshop and entry is by tutor recommendation only.
This workshop is designed for children interested in developing their acting skills, and students will work on specific performance skills such as voice, movement, characterisation, improvisation, ensemble, and devising. Each term, a new performance skill will be introduced such as dance, mime or puppetry.
This course is ideal for those students who are serious about acting and wish to begin developing real acting skills.
Children who wish to join the performance workshop must have completed at least one term of Drama Workshop or equivalent in another drama school.
Please Note: Dependent on Government regulations on Covid-19 classes may take place on Zoom. We will update regularly here on GSA’s response to government Covid-19 restrictions.

Taking place on Monday mornings, this course will give those with prior acting experience the opportunity to work on key Irish theatre texts, in addition to developing their own theatre-making skills. This course would be of interest to Irish students wishing to learn more about the Irish Theatre canon, or international students travelling or living in Ireland.
